Norris Leads Piastri in Sao Paulo Practice Session
The British driver has outscored his teammate at all of the previous five grands prix.
Lando Norris just pipped team-mate and championship contender the Australian for the fastest time in the final moments of the practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Norris, who seized the title advantage from his teammate by just one point after his victory in Mexico City a fortnight back, topped the Australian by 0.023 seconds.
Earlier in the session, Oscar Piastri had been the fastest McLaren driver for most of the session before sprint qualifying scheduled for 18:30 GMT.
The Red Bull star, the other racer in the points battle, sitting 36 points behind Norris, was classified in 17th place as his Red Bull team ran a different programme.
His teammate the Japanese driver was the only driver to go off, albeit lightly, when he spun at the fourth corner during the early running.
Tsunoda slid over the curbs on exit before rotating through the run-off area, and was lucky to avoid just a slight brush of the barrier.
Ferrari's the seven-time champion also spun, at the conclusion of the practice, turning around through the quick descending Mergulho turn leading to the final corner on to the pit straight.
Hamilton finished practice in P19, one place behind team-mate Charles Leclerc.
Norris and Piastri were significantly quicker of the remaining drivers, with the German's Sauber P3, 0.619secs slower than Piastri's best.
Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso was in fourth, with Sauber's Bortoleto ahead of Mercedes' George Russell and the Alpine of Pierre Gasly and the Williams of Carlos Sainz.
