“That was unfortunate. That was kind of an interaction with Cowboys supporters seated near me,” Jones stated during a Tuesday interview. “There was a large group of Dallas supporters—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The entire stadium was brimming with excitement for the Cowboys.”
He further emphasized that the signal was entirely accidental, occurring amid the elation following the team’s last score. “I just showed the incorrect finger,” he remarked. “It was accidentally done. This is sincere. Should you call it accidental, you can. But it got resolved rapidly.”
